Last month, a young boy was hit by a car on his way to school.  The driver fled the scene.  The boy's father has an important reminder for all Colorado drivers;  be careful!  School is back and session and we need to keep a careful look out for pedestrians.  To learn more, click here.

There are several important lessons from this story.  First, and most important, drivers need to be careful and always keep an eye out for pedestrians (especially near the many schools throughout the Arvada and Wheat Ridge area).  But, and if an accident happens, you are required by law to stay at the scene, and call 911 for medical assistance if needed.  Making that call can save a life.

But what do you do if you are hit by a hit and run driver.  Under Colorado law, hit and run drivers are considered uninsured motorists for the purposes of your car insurance.  It is important to carry this coverage to protect you and your family from irresponsible drivers.  Have a question about a hit and run driver, or about uninsured motorist (UM) insurance, call our offices today at 303-292-0044.
